Pizza, Police Report and Patience Start With "P", but then...

This is probably not my week.

- We got into a vehicular accident last Monday night. While waiting for the traffic to move, suddenly a jeepney appeared at our rear-right hitting us. Rather than stopping, the jeepney driver drove away and worsening the damage by hitting our 2 right-side doors.

- I applied for police report that night and was scheduled to get it this afternoon at their precinct. I have to travel 45 minutes from home just to get there since the area where the accident happened was within their jurisdiction. When I came at their office this afternoon, the other policeman told me to come back on Friday or call first because I go there to claim it since I can only get it with the other officer whom I had transaction with the night before. I always thought that getting police report is easy and can be claimed the day I apply for it. I paid 200 pesos to wait for 2 days to get it but then, told to wait for another 2 days. And yet, it’s still not sure if I can have it then. Wow.

- Then tonight, I called for pizza delivery. I waited for an hour and a half and still no pizza guy. Then I followed up with their hotline who told me that the branch assigned to do the delivery will call me about the details. So I waited for another half an hour before I got a call from the hotline telling me that there was some "miscommunication" from their side and from the branch. Apparently, there's a policy with the branch that they are not delivering at our barangay after 6pm due to "security reasons". Ok, so they are delivering at some distressed areas around the city proper but not within areas not too far from the perimeter yet subdivisions are abound. Anyway, I don't have problems with that policy if they want to uphold it but having us waiting for 2 hours and just getting "sorry" from them about what happened isn't good.

Hay…

Anyway, things might have been worse. So still, I thank you Lord. I just hope that one day, majority of Filipinos will learn the true meaning of “customer service” and “road courtesy”.
